FileBot Subtitle Downloader and TV Renamer

FileBot is the ultimate TV Renamer and Subtitle Downloader. Instantly organize all your TV Shows and Movies. It just works. Easy.

FileBot is really smart about matching your episodes or movies with online data from sources like TVRage / AniDB / TheTVDB or OpenSubtitles / IMDb / TheMovieDB. The naming format and folder structure FileBot will apply to rename your media files is completely up to you. It's extremely powerful and customizable but at the same time really quite simple.

Fetching subtitles has never been easier neither. FileBot will automatically lookup subs from various sources and intelligently match them to your media files. Just drag your files in and FileBot will do the rest.

The GUI is extremely efficient, it's all just a matter of 2-3 drags/clicks. But if you're the really lazy kind, you can automate just about anything using the fully-featured cmdline interface.

Upload (with moviehash of course) to both OSDB and Sublight is the last big missing piece. Though I might not get around pushing a big release till the Winter holidays.

If you drag-n-drop 1 movie and 1 subtitles file on the blue "===" download button it'll change to a green "===" upload button. Drop movie = get subtitle. Drop movie and subtitle = upload subtitle. That's the idea except I don't have more than that now because I'll need to do lots of refactoring and extra GUI for login with user credentials, not just anonymous login.

Kinda would like to upload subtitles with episode information like we said on the old thread about tv series support. Any chance there'll be some sort of basic tv series support this year? I'd like to support this from the get-go.

Either nobody is using it or nobody is having any problems with using it. I'll just assume the latter. 哈哈 :P

Hi,

GUI looks nice, but it misses the feature I am desperately looking for: simple BATCH subtitle download -> drag and drop a folder so that the program automatically downloads the best sub for all videos in the folder.

Besides there is a bug that prevented me to lauch the program after closing it once: I got an error popup saying something like "You need a JRE 1.7.0" (i have obviously have a JRE)

In Subtitle panel there is a drop target "^===" for that. Just drag files / folders on there and FileBot will look up subtitles for all those videos.

Not sure about that bug... u can try running filebot with console and see if there's any more info in the console log.

Also there are 2 startup shortcuts:
FileBot <- java 1.6+ is fine
FileBot (platform) <- this one forces Java 1.7+
