Having trouble downloading

Everytime I download a srt my browser opens a new tab with the text file showing. Has anyone had this happen to them and do you know how to combat it?

The download button directs to something like https://dl.opensubtitles.com/download/ESFS21421.srt on a new tab.

Ctrl+S or right click the webpage and select save as.
