Subtitles don't show

I use MX player with Cyberflix and Cinema II. I used to be able to pick play with subtitles and subtitles would show up. If they didn't I could go into MX player's options and select to go to the Internet and search. However that is no longer working. Subtitles don't show in either case and on either system. I am using Firestick. Any suggestions?
