Check out my app for downloading subtitles from opensubtitles. It's like 10 years old, but I refreshed it and made sure it still works.
You select a folder and it does a recursive search for subfolders and downloads subtitles for all video files.
It searches by hash, takes the first offered subtitle for the selected language and puts it next to the file.

Not sure where my original post disappeared, I just edited it to point to SSL site version.
Anyway, you can use my app to recursively download subtitles for all videos within a folder and its subfolders.

Steps to get your subtitles are following:
1. Create a job
2. Select a folder to process getting subtitles
3. Choose if you want to do a sub folder search also
4. Choose your subtitle language
5. If you have a opensubtitles.org account enter it here, if not, open account will be used
6. Choose if you wish to skip videos that already have subtitles
7. Prepare job. App will scan the folder for appropriate videos and prepare hash search
8. Start job. App will start searching for subtitles and download it next to the movie with the same file name and srt extesion.
