Is it Ok to put opensubtitles.org in subtitle?

Fri Feb 19, 2016 11:48 am

Some sites like titlovi.com and addic7ed.com put their names in subtitle. I don't care about this, exept in part I must remove this from subtitle before upload to opensubtitles.org. If I have a lot of files, opening each one in the row is boring job, connected also with spending a time.
Just on my own, to be rational with time, I'm searching for best way of doing this job with replacement. Is it Ok to put opensubtitles.org in subtitle insteed titlovi.com or addic7ed.com? In EmEditor od Notepad++ this replacement can be accomplished for several files at once.
Or some smarter suggestion?

Use correct file names, no stupid ads, for example:

"The.100.S03E05.720p.HDTV.x264-AVS"

NO

"The.100.S03E05.720p.HDTV.x264-AVS.opensubtitles.org"
or anything like that.

It's not about file names. I mean at beginning and end of subtitle with staff like www.titlovi.com at the beginning, and
Preuzeto sa www.titlovi.com at the end.
www.titlovi.com have some problems with such attitude
http://www.prijevodi-online.org/smf/ind ... 693.0.html
I don't care steal they subtitles or not, just think this is stupid and unnecessary, just obligation for who watch movie to delete this things because synchronisation.
Can this be replaced with
www.opensubtitles.org and Downloaded from www.opensubtitles.org or some apropriate text?

You said "this is stupid and unnecessary"...and you want to replace the text, It will not be equal?
Why replace if you can delete.
The best thing is to delete those lines.

Why don't you leave it as it is? It just indicate where the original file was found. If the sub was original uploaded on opensubtitles it could be in the .srt

I don't think it's fair to the uploader to take credits from his work from another website and replace the place of origin.
Keep credits in full as the translator prefer easy enough. No extra work needed.

Just my two cents.

Here is how prijevodi.online try to "solve" this problem:
it's about Law & Order: UK (2009) S06E06 and S06E07
https://www.mediafire.com/?rawhd3txeqkfa35
Subtitle can't be easy obtained with SubtitleEdit. Some other app maybe?
Is it possible upload such subs on opensubtitles.org?

This is exactly how it should be done, respect original source.
