which version you are using ?
I contacted xbmc subtitle developer, he is watching this thread also.

I have a raspberry pi 2 with xbmc and kodi when i want to watch something the subtitles don't work. I get a script error from opensubtitles.org. i use opensubtitles.org version 5.0.14. My operating system is OpenELEC 5.0.8 (kernel: Linux 3.18.10). I have this problem for a couple of weeks now. How can I fix this?

it should work. Can you send some debug from this script ? even better is to ask at KODI/XBMC forum, thanks.
