Query by Season/Episode - Crazy results

Wed Jun 27, 2012 12:51 am

So, I was testing some stuff today. I drop "True Blood 3x08 - Night on the Sun.avi" onto SolEol to check something and let it rip.

Doesn't find any subs in english (weird, but OK) so it tries to find subs by name. I have it set to search by "query", season and episode, if present. Query XML looks like this:

http://snipt.org/vajib8

Then the results come back, and my jaw drops. 93 results.

http://snipt.org/vajic1

Checking the results each one seems to have taken the parameters right (fulltext, season 3, episode 8) but from the first result it's returning whatever season and episode it wishes and not the ones I searched for.

I get this now for all searches, but this wasn't happening like this before.

there was error in code, thanks for good find (episode and season filters was not applied), it should be fixed now.

Also, there is applied parsing of query, you can read about it more here: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=12823 (if you dont have access, I will put it public, I think it is time:)

Btw, nice new GUI in SolEol and welcome back on forum.

Edit; you may wonder, why sanctuary is in the results...it is because of AKA. You get idea (be logged in) here http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtitl ... nctuary-en

Edit2: it is possible you don't see anything suspect there, I code some routine to check movieaka for somethings, which don't belong to movie akas, so it is ignored, deleted, not indexed...lets see how it will work - database is reindexing 1 time per day, so maybe tomorrow you will not get the sancturay in results...

Hadn't seen changes to query. Cool.

I did wonder about Sanctuary, but when searching by name I expect all sorts of things to appear there :) SolEol has some logic as well to ignore things too obviously different to what's being searched.

As soon as this other project leaves me with enough time to get it done:
