I'm having the same issue.
I'm in the UK, and I've tried going back and hitting download again, but with the same result every time.
For some series there is a higher level (?) where you can download all available subtitles and that works without a problem. Unfortunately, this isn't an option for films!

Instead clicking the download button.
Try direct download, just click on the .srt file name.

The file that downloads with the download button. The one with direct .srt file by clicking on file name has only-for-vip-opensubtitles.org as file name.
