OpenSubtitles and VLC

Fri Jan 17, 2025 11:17 pm

I use VLC within Google TV. I have since I lost my hearing in the aftermath of Covid. A few months back the ability to search and download subs became 'unavailable'. An internet search suggested there was an ongoing issue between both parties as to the monetisation of this. As so many people really rely on it I would hope ego's, the never ending chase of the $ and lack of common sense are put to the side.

This really enhances the lives of those who have had so much robbed of them.

Just looking for both to rise above pettiness and come up with a solution. I have to use VLC 3.5.2 for compatibility.
