Hi.
I have strange problem with IMDB information import.
I have recently uploaded 2 subtitles and both of them don't have any information about movie except country and language, IMDB update also doesn't work.
The subtitles are:
https://www.opensubtitles.org/ru/subtit ... rengard-it
https://www.opensubtitles.org/ru/subtit ... scienza-en

Also I've tried IMDB update on one of the my older subtitle, which had all information, and after the import it became also broken like the last two. This subtitles: https://www.opensubtitles.org/ru/subtit ... ys-bleu-fr

Hi

I agree a lot of info is missing, but the most important (name, kind, year) is there. Sometimes, some cases, if it's only one movie or recently added, because of IMDb API changes, the site can either struggle retrieving certain data, or can take up to a week to update.

This new API of theirs is causing us issues, and sometimes "IMDb Update" doesn't perform as perfectly as it used to in the past. IMDb API compatibility is out of our control. Sorry. :(

New site will retrieve data from other Movie databases and not just IMDb, so hopefully that will be better.

We updated IMDb script.
Ratings, thumbnails and some other info was missing there.

We should start noticing more thumbnails on subtitles now. :)
If it shows as "No Thumbnail Yet", hitting "IMDb Update" should resolve that.

If it says: "TV root Series OK queued for update later," that particular episode sub page should get a thumbnail, the rest of the TV series episodes will get updated automatically in due course. You don't need to do all of them individually.

Process should work for movie subtitle pages, too.

If it's a brand new released series that didn't have any uploads before, it may take several days to retrieve the thumbnail.

Hi,

You don't need to create a page. Just go to UPLOAD and insert this IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt28259207/ where it says: "you can type movie name!" Select your file and hit "upload!"

And everything will be created. I can see you already did it: https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtit ... 52/kill-ar

The Squid Games S02 page only has 2 episodes available on the site as of yet. I understand other episodes exists on IMDb. Using "IMDB Update" on the series page doesn't work any-more to retrieve further missing episode slots to the site, unless it has been 3-7 days since IMDb was last updated.
This issue is because IMDb changed something on their API. After waiting a little, we can retrieve those episode missing slots and using admin tools align those episodes with ease, as long as the subtitles were named correctly, i.e:

Squid.Game.S02E01
Not:
Squid.Game.E01

If not named correctly, IMDb ID will need to be changed individually by the user for each episode and submit the report to and admin to accept it.
How to submit reports: viewtopic.php?t=2595#p8270

Someone has submitted over 50 reports to correct IMDb for those individual episodes already, so most will already be done, but at the moment will not show under S02 until the site updates with new information from IMDb and lists the missing episodes accordingly.

When this happens for newly released series, please make a report asking an admin to do it and the following template may help:

"Dear admins, this series has had multiple uploads uploaded recently and the site didn't have any episode slots for them to be categorized correctly, but IMDb does have episodes listed individually. The site now has those slots available, so please categorise the subtitles from the '#unclassified episodes' section of this series page.
This is the main series page: <insert series page URL here>
Applies to English/all languages (delete/amend as applicable)!"

If there are no episodes listed on IMDb and no slots for them on the series page, admins can't do anything at all until they are available.
If the subtitles are not named correctly, they can't do anything, either.

Thanks

In the dutch section the episodes are already connected to the right episodes, you only can't see them for now.

Thank you kindly for the time and effort. I believe oakislanddk also did the same thing. :(
Wish there was a way where users can collaborate as to not waste their time doing the same thing on IMDb.
In the dutch section the episodes are already connected to the right episodes, you only can't see them for now.
It'll take 3-7 days to see them on our side.
For a popular series if there are many subs in many languages, maybe best to leave them in the '#unclassified episodes' section so others can see them. Of course they can search for them using the individual IMDb ID URL in the search bar if they have been changed, but not everyone knows how to do that. Also this can be a Sisyphus task for a normal user, so once the slots are available on our site, best to let an admin do it. They can do it faster with the admin tools.

Sadly, this seems to be happening with a lot of series as of late, so please don't forget to make those reports, guys. If it's only a few episodes, then users can correct themselves by updating individual episode IMDb on the subtitles.

Thanks for all the help. :D

Again, the template for easy reference:

"Dear admins, this series has had multiple uploads uploaded recently and the site didn't have any episode slots for them to be categorized correctly, but IMDb does have episodes listed individually. The site now has those slots available, so please categorise the subtitles from the '#unclassified episodes' section of this series page.

I added new seasons to series tt4606670 in IMDB, and I also managed to pair the individual episodes with subtitles I uploaded, but the page for the whole series is still missing these new seasons. Does it just take time to update?

I mean OS shows 7 seasons, I added seasons 8-15 to imdb. Then I added a couple episodes to season 10 and managed to pair them in OS by directly linking them to specific episodes (s10e01 and s10e02), however the added seasons 8 to 15 don't show up in OS.
