Re: Give us feedback about the new site opensubtitles.com

Maybe you saw the previous posts... issues have been common since the begining of the site, any example you can give can help.

you can see where any subtitle from opensubtitles.org is on opensubtitles.com by clicking on "download (beta)"

if you see a subtitle on opensubtitles.org who's missing on opensubtitles.com it always help to report it to us by sending a link to the problematic file

Hi I would like to see something like what they had on the now closed subscene, on the main page there was a list of the newest / most popular movie subtitles, it wqas a great way to see what had been released. Any chance you could make something like that here? I know there is a list at the bottom you can scroll through left to right but it's not as good, it does show some of the newer movies but not the most recent ones like on subscene.

Hiya,

Do you mean like this:
https://www.opensubtitles.com/en/movies/latest
And: https://www.opensubtitles.com/en/movies/popular

From the homepage: https://www.opensubtitles.com/en/home
Click on: "Movies" or "Tv series" and you should be able to click on, "Latest movies" or "Trending Movies", etc.

On .org, you can see everything that's uploaded recently here: https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search ... uageid-all
But I get that's not what you're after. The .com version doesn't refresh as fast as the .org version yet, as it's still in BETA phase.

Try that and see if the .com links provided above help or if that's what you're looking for.

Yes something like that thx, the .com site looks better, thx for the links. Can't wait to see the final result of the site. When it's finished will it replace the .org site?

Unfortunately, yes. Fully replaced. Org is just too old, but has a lot of hidden packed features that old dogs like me still like and prefer. Like anything in life, we adapt and get used to the changes eventually. It will also have an integrated forum and PM system.
I understand we have to move along with the times.

Once fully live, those sliding “trending” bars on the homepage will hopefully reflect recent uploads for new movies/series that users are downloading for that day, I think then it'll meet your needs and that's what you're after. Me, too.

At the moment, at least with the English search filter, if there is a blockbuster release, it’s normally made a “featured” sub on the homepage of .org. Top right corner:

https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search ... eatured-on

Original web designer left midway of .com build. So the website's progress was delayed somewhat.
Main man now is os_dev. If any features can be implemented, he'll try his best to accommodate them.
