I was thinking of using my tv for a movie and ipad for displaying missing subtitles.
So it would be nice to have, next to a certain subtitle, a link to start playing the subtitle in real speed, and some controls to get it about synced. Jump forwards and Backwards, speed up speed down. That's it I guess?

In this scenario, are you screencasting your ipad screen to your tv with the subtitles or casting the subtitles while playing a movie on the tv?

2 player .... one for playing the movie, another to display the subtitles, but synced over network. It's not hard to do, does not even have to be an app, can be just a webpage.
I can do it, but I don't have the time to do it for free. I'm not sure if enough people would pay for something like this, and if it's ads-filled it becomes horrible to use.
