SW probem

I noted, when subtite haz line with numbers, like year for instance, on loading such file, SW delete all such lines, if they aren't under tags. Can this things be setted in Settings?

Ahhh so SW means ‏‏SubtitleWorkshop.
i use the older ver 2.51 becuase of compabilty issues. never faced this problem.

If I understand you well, I think this is more like a bug. Looks like an overdone automatic error correction: SW sees that number as an incorrect line number with no text and thus erases it. Something like that. I don't think this is a "setting".

I have used SW in the past and found more unwanted things that SW does, for example if you make one word in italics, then the whole line goes into italics. One of the reasons why I switched to Subtitle Edit. Still, SW has some nice features, so for a while I used both: SE to make subs, SW to check and detect certain errors.

Lines which contain only numbers, like
1967

...
all such lines are deleted on load if they isn't under tags

1969 - will be deleted
<b>2018</b> - will not be deleted.

You load a subtitle file into Subtitle Workshop, for example starting with these lines:

Then SW makes it

But if that number "2018" is between italics tags:

then SW does NOT delete it and it's all okay.

If that is the case, I really think it is just a bug of SW.
Because then SW sees the second line

as an empty line

followed by a wrong line number

and 'fixes' it.

And this does NOT happen when that number is between italics tags, because line numbers are never between italics tags.

That's my theory

I tried with the version 2.51 and the last 6.0b.
And the older version delet the lines that had just numbers.
The version 6.0b keep the line with numbers.

You can try this :
Tools - Informations and errors - Settings - Check for. Uncheck lines without letters.

I just tried a line with only 1 number :

Then i try :

The Sw 2.51 erase that line.
Even disabling that option Line without letters.

But if he uses the latest version, it does not delete the line
