Subdownloader 1.2.9: "UnicodeEncodeError"

Mon Dec 17, 2007 12:41 am

An error appears every time I start subdownloader and directs me to the log, that contains this (once for each time I start the program):

Code: Select all

Traceback (most recent call last): File "SubDownloader.py", line 396, in ? File "wx\_core.pyo", line 7748, in __init__ File "wx\_core.pyo", line 7345, in _BootstrapApp File "SubDownloader.py", line 372, in OnInit UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\xf3' in position 13: ordinal not in range(128)
The program closes and it seems that there is nothing I can do...

I am not uploading subtitles because of this :-(

I wish I could help. It seems capiscuas - main coder of SubDownloader - give it up, so we will not see any new version from him.

We really need some python coder to take this project under his arms. I contacted capiscuas, so he should write some his "end" worlds and whats going on.
