Re: TV Series coming soon

Please check if everything is ok there.
Everything is fixed, except for the following: http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search/ ... /redir-off

Leverage.S04E13 has an IMDb ID for that episode, but when I apply it, it goes down as Leverage.S04E11 This was almost 2 months ago and nothing seems to have changed. The following subtitle says it is episode 11 but is stored under episode 13 on the main series page: http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtitl ... out-job-en Thanks for the other fixes! :D

as promised, I am developing searching by moviefilenames/releasenames/subtitlefilenames...try it:

for example:
http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search/ ... S01E08.avi
http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search/ ... roesS01E08

in XML-RPC in SearchSubtitles() pass argument 'tag'

have a fun :) and tell me what you think about it.

yeah. I am still fighting with some minor things, but I guess they will be fixed hopefully soon :)

Please test it, if it is working OK. For now, a lot of things are working, but for example, that example URL is not working for some reason!

And I think this http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search/ ... roesS01e08 should work and find some results.

Re: TV Series coming soon

I was testing.

Say, we have avifile: "Californication.S05E04.Waiting.for.the.Miracle.HDTV.XviD-FQM.avi"

This subtitle exists in the system, as you can see, with the same release name:
http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtitl ... miracle-en

But I can't find it searching for the name in any way:

I tried the new tag:
http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search/ ... iD-FQM.avi
http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search/ ... V.XviD-FQM
(no results in each case)

And then every other type of search that could be related:
http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search2 ... id-fqm.avi (all movies)
http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search2 ... v.xvid-fqm (all movies)
http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search2 ... v.xvid-fqm (all subs for californication)
http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search2 ... id-fqm.avi (no results)

Trying the tag in XMLRPC seems to work perfectly, though:
http://cl.ly/Do6l
Request XML: http://snipt.org/ykmmi7
Response XML: http://snipt.org/ykmmg0

(NOTE: After this test the server refused to respond further queries, error 503, for a couple of minutes)

I thought the url-based search might not be escaping characters properly but then I chose this filename especially because it doesn't have special characters.

ok I found error, please try again and let me know the results. Thanks!

Also, good information is, there is around 30.000.000 moviefilenames in database, so it is more than huge! :)

I update http://trac.opensubtitles.org/projects/ ... hSubtitles - support of tags and explaining whats going on. Nice things on the tags is, they can be combined with imdbid, or query.

Can't parse the following episodes to the list: http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search/ ... /redir-off (They are episodes 15-17, but episode 17 doesn't exactly have an IMDb link - but the rest of them do).

they are parsed already. if some episode doesn't have link, there is not much I can do, have to wait for the link. Also, if it have link already, and it doesnt want to parse, cache is in the game, you can let me know, if this happens.

I will not update regex for this. "G.A...2...20.txt" is not standard at all, somebody just put this name, next time it can be
"G.A...2.-.20.txt" and so on, and regexp will not work. Files like this must be done by the hand.

Hi everybody,

I am a new admin for the French part of OS.
I don't quite undertand how the "Parse TV" button should work. For instance, on the page http://www.opensubtitles.org/fr/search/ ... /redir-off, the subtitle names are well formed (eg American.Dad.S02E17.PDTV.XviD-LOL.I.Can.t.Stan.You.VF.srt or American Dad - 1x08 - Bullocks to Stan.fr.srt), but they don't parse. And there are hunbdreds of series/files like this, updating by hand is a hell of a job when it could be done by scripting.
