Subtitles

Tue May 03, 2011 11:06 pm

Hi everyone.

Just a quick question.

I have seen two of the same subtitles, one of them there is a icon and it says: Subtitles for hearing impaired.
What is the difference between the one with the Hearing Impaired icon and the one without.

Thanks you in-advance.

The difference is simple: Hearing Impaired Subtitles are more a transcription rather than a translation.
They contain the dialouges and descriptions of important non-dialog audio as well such as "(loud music)" or "(telephone rings)" or "(person xy:)" to show that an actor outside the screen says anything.

If you don't need or like that, you can remove these hearing impact items very simple with an usual subtitle editor.
