Curious: Imdb search when uploading

Tue Sep 11, 2007 12:56 pm

Hi,

First off, let me say I love this site. Not only does it provide a great service, I really like the look of it and how smooth it runs. One thing amazes and puzzels me equally: When uploading a sub you can make a search for the imdb-ID (http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/upload) - and the IMDB-search results are shown locally here on the site (with a javascript link that will copy the imdb-ID to the submission-form) - how on earth is that done?!

I checked the FAQ "What technology is used on your site?" - but this particular topic is not mentioned...

Cheers!

I already replied to you in the mail. We use IMDB perl module for that.
