Request

Fri Apr 20, 2007 3:43 am

The request page / function seems very complex.

I've twice tried to make a request, but there is no evidence that my request has been made.

I searched through over 30 pages (even with the filter set to EN) just for confirmation, but gave up long after realising that I could make no sense out of the order of listing.
I'm not even sure what half of those columns and numbers mean!

If I can't find my own request, then how can anybody else?
And how can I check for new requsets by others?

My suggestion is that the newest request goes to the top of the list. That way I, or anybody else can check new requests by only having to view a few pages.
I like to help people when I can, but I'm not going to browse through hundreds of old requests looking for new ones.

Also, the list should be automatically purged. A request should last one month (for example).
If any requested subtitles haven't been uploaded in that time, then a new request can be made if the requester (?) still wants them, or hasn't found them elsewhere.

Just an opinion based on my frustrated experience.
Thanks.

EDIT
Sorry - I've just seen the Requests Poll that's already posted - my eyes are tired after skimming all those requests! :NotLoL:

there are some problems with website, we are upgrading servers. So it is possible your request is not visible. Also, requests are default sorted by number of requests, so your will be at last position (it is sorted by count desc, added desc).

Request section - I have to recode it from scratch, because there are some things, which need to be better done. I will create discussion for this.

Thanks for the reply.

This is looking to be a good site and I wish you every luck with it's progression.

Cheers :)
