Api issues

Tue Dec 27, 2022 2:35 pm

Hi,

I'm using the https://api.opensubtitles.com/api/v1/subtitles api and run into 2 issues when searching for letterkenny season 11.
Full url: https://api.opensubtitles.com/api/v1/su ... _number=11

First one is that in the feature_details, the year has a null property instead of a number. This is easy to fix in my code but I would've assumed based on the documentation that this property would be always present and properly filled in.
Second one is a bit more of a problem: This search only returns 2 subtitle files for episode 1, but searching on the website (both opensubtitles.org and opensubtitles.com) returns subtitles for the other episodes too. How is this possible and is this some bug in the backend?
Or is it this recent that the website and the api are not fully synced yet?

Paul

Has no one an idea about this?

For your second issue, it could very well be the difference is related to hash codes being linked to that subtitle or not. If there is NO hash code for some specific subtitle, it is NOT visible to some/most API-software, while it IS present on the website.

Hi

I can not duplicate your problem, write it more clearly with more debug data.

https://api.opensubtitles.com/api/v1/su ... _number=11
returns 4 subtitles, same as on website:
https://www.opensubtitles.com/en/tvshow ... tv-episode

dont forget always specify language code...
