Re: [KODI] OpenSubtitles.org addon by opensubtitles

Tue Dec 06, 2016 7:35 am

I must say that I did see some strange behaviour with stock Jarvis 16.1 and the stock opensubtitles.org plugin 5.0.16. I searched for a title, was not the one I was looking for and then tried to check a second time. This time the subtitle search stalled. Trying again, I received a message that there was an error with my login (even though the credentials are correct and I my first subtitle search and fetch were successful).

I'll try to post a debug log next time.

Hi again
I retried it again .. desinstalled subtitles.org on kodi ( Jarvis) .changed my password on the subtitles.org website .. I can log in on the website without any problems...
Then went back to my android box and logged in again on subtitles.org in my addons config .
Tried to watch a movie on another addon than exodus and still got the msg that sign up is empty or credentials not correct ( they are correct).
What to do? Should I go on the internet through the browser of the android box itself , ,install the file through there ,and then try to install it on kodi ?
Help ! My wife and children want French subtitles..!!
Thanks for your help !

"Tried to watch a movie on another addon than exodus"

which addon ? You have to configure opensubtitles KODI addon for that addon which you are using. I know it might sounds confusing, but if it is working in KODI and/or in EXODUS and it is not working in "another addon", then it is good to contact addon provider where it is not working.

In short, you have to pass username and password for opensubtitles addon. Maybe your VIDEO addon is using opensubtitles addon, but it is somehow hidden.

Send debug log and write which addon you are using.

I moved your post here, because it was off-topic.

This is correct. Thanks oss. The latest update says that it has bypassed the login details so you no need to enter these details.
