Hi,

Because the addon could not connect to the service. Also it was unstable lately, some days it return error and some days it worked as usual.

Thanks.

And just made this post to Kodi forums too.. so kodi addon stopped working this week? What happened?

Ok I have also the problem. I only get error message "OpenSubtitles.org by OpenSubtitles Error Check the log for more information". Nothing else.

This error repeats with: New clean install of Kodi just downloaded from your site (in Win10, 64-bit), With Kodi isntalled from Winows store. With Kodi installed from Google Play store in Philips Android TV.. and this started to happen just this week.. so.. something broke! Was there an update to some Kodi addon functioanlity?

And yes, tryed also with addon downloaded from opensubtitle.org site.. (newer version), both with signed in to opensubtitles.org and without. Same end result every time.

And here is the log from a clean new install of Kodi:

Sat Mar 24, 2018 3:03 pm

Hi,

I also do have the same problem with the error: plugin://service.subtitles.opensubtitles
Tried:
Opensubtitles reinstall
Password reset
Opensubtitles install via different repository
Clean Kodi install on Andriod Minix box UH-9
The issue came after a Minix firmware update.

Hope one of you guys or girls can help me correct this problem. I use subs because i became a little deaf after all the partying ;)

Grtz,
Riccii

AFAIU, this error occurs because opensubtitles xmlRPC changed format . I already fixed addon's code and sent the pull request to repository: https://github.com/opensubtitles/servic ... /issues/16
But the repository owner has not yet added the code.

I'm having the same problems with open subtitles, I'm on a Mac and upgraded from 17.4 to 17.6 and right off I get the error msg. I've tried everything, logged out and back in, reinstalled, but all to no avail. On another forum I saw logs that could have come from my machine. Same errors. Some one mentioned "search data is dict not list" whatever that means. BTW addic7ed and subscene work but I prefer open subtitles,Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi

it is strange, here is everything working ok, I just reinstalled KODI addon (opensubtitles_by_opensubtitles) and it is working ok. I believe there might be something else in problem, it is possible to get XML-RPC response itself from opensubtitles ? Maybe your IP is banned (send me your IP), and in that case maybe something fishy going on

looks like after the change from .ORG to .COM the plugin is broken
don't know who updates it but would love to have this one fixed again ;)

Not sure, but maybe this problem is related:
