yes, it is pain in the ass, I am changing something in the server setup, optimizing thinga, because when site is in peak times, it gets REALLY slow, and I dont want that. For example, I re-enabled query_cache in mysql 5.1.x and it seems it is still broken (at least on FreeBSD), so today I dowgraded one of mysql servers to 5.0, we will see.
Also I got good news, we will move our database to faster hardrives (now using 7200 rpm I guess, will be 15k rpm, so access times will be much faster = more speed, will put it on Raid 1_ = so I hope everything will work much better.
Sorry for downtime, it hurts me too.
