EasySub - create and edit subtitle from your browser.

Sun May 18, 2014 10:07 pm

Hi,

I've created EasySub, a web application that will help you to create or edit a subtitle for any video.
EasySub can also be connected to your YouTube account and you will be able to publish subtitle that you created to YouTube in just one click.

This is pretty new and any question or comment is welcome.

Very nice work.

Two suggestions, if I may:

-Offer to clean up all text from the subtitles (makes it easy to import youtube's automatic subs to take advantage of the timings).
-Consider using a vertical subtitle timeline instead of a horizontal timeline. You could take either place it below the video or to the side, in a scrolling div in both cases. This would allow the text to be viewable in it while still representing sub duration (height instead of width. And easier to scale text if zoomed out. Since horizontal width is usually wasted, this could take advantage of that.

Great idea! I'm searching a solution where you doesn't have to generate automatic sub on YouTube but I could do that until it's possible.
-Consider using a vertical subtitle timeline instead of a horizontal timeline(...)
Do you imagine something like that ?

Exactly. Something like this is very visual and maximizes information density. It also takes advantage of our monitors being in landscape orientation by maximizing horizontal space.
