I just wanted to notice you that Sublight 1.3.0 is now publicly available (featuring multithreaded search and much more).

Hi Maco,

I have been on your page, you changed it. Where is the forum? Anyway, I dont use your program (I am on Mac), it uses opensubtitles.org database ? If yes, please read and follow these instructions:

http://trac.opensubtitles.org/projects/ ... vReadFirst

thanks

Hello.

-I never had forum on my page (don't have time to moderate it)
-Sublight and SublightCmd are two different applications (link)
-SublightCmd should work also on Mac (didn't test it but it works on Linux)
-SublightCmd is not using opensubtitles.org database.
-Sublight (Windows application) is optionally using opensubtitles.org database via special plugin (this you already know)

Regards,
macofaco

ok, I see you dont have forum. Please, go at very beggining on this thread and read first page. I dont see any link to opensubtitles.org on your page.

for Sublight - if it is optionally using opensubtitles.org as database, did you follow the rulez on trac ?

http://trac.opensubtitles.org/projects/ ... vReadFirst

if not, do it so, please.

Speaking of which: The donate button routes to a personal site that has the same 500 error as the rest.

I know you don't expect many donations through that but wouldn't it be better to provide a donation link to paypal? I know I won't give my details to anything else for donations and I'm sure this applies to a lot of other people. Noawadays it's better to provide external services even for these things.

Hello os.

Are you 100% strict about those rules? If yes, I would have to remove opensubtitles.org support from Sublight.

yes, I am strict about this. If it is a problem for you put some references to opensubtitles and so on, yeah, remove OS support and dont forget to write about that, why you remove OS support.

It is problem for me to put references all over application because it would be too intrusive (this is why I asked if you are 100% strict about those rules).

Combined this with other facts:
-service is very unreliable
-only small percentage of Sublight users is downloading subtitles from opensubtitles.org

I decided I rather remove plugin for opensubtitles.org from official Sublight release. This will be done with next version of Sublight.

ok, thats your decision, you have full right to do that.

Unfortunately I also have to lock this topic, because it is offtopic and move it to trash.
