FlixTools stopped working.

Sun Jun 19, 2016 11:01 am

FlixTools always did a great job at finding all kinds of subtitles, until today.

It's unable to find a single subtitle, it doesn't matter how much I reinstall, empty my cache, change DNS settings, etc...

It's strange, because yesterday it still worked perfectly, I didn't do anything after downloading my last sub, this morning I tried it and nothing happened.

Anyone has an idea what might've gone wrong here?

It's back to normal again, there was a bug with the OS responds.

It would be a shame to miss this program, I like everything about it!

Yes, sorry about catching it way too late. It was fathers day here and I wasn't working yesterday.
The fastest way to let me know about any problems is sending a quick email to [email protected]

Everything should be back to normal. :)

Hmmm - June 23rd - v1.2.1 (75) installed after a complete removal and cleanup of environment afterwards, for the previous version. Subtitles are being identified properly, but the "save subtitle" function is still not working (and the "subtitles saved" show 0, in the bottom status line). Any ideas?

That happens when your IP (or the userid you logged in with) hits the Opensubtitles 24hrs download limit.

We're almost ready with V2 that has a much better indication for this when things like this happen.

Hi, FlixTools stopped working for me too. It was working fine until yesterday. When i drop any file it just says "Queued, waiting..." and never download the subs. Reinstalling doesn't help either.

Any help?

Thx

Hi,

Strange because I don't see any issues.

Can you make sure you're using the the latest FlixTools version? (and not the older 'SubFlix' because that one is no longer supported)

The download link for FlixTools is: http://www.flixtools.com/download/FlixTools.dmg

edit: It indeed ended up to be an older version that was no longer supported. This normally doesn't happen but in this case, it was the old SubFlix and support for SubFlix has stopped.
For others that encounter any issues, we're here to help but please make sure you're using the latest version. (See link above)
