FileBot 2.62 is out! Get it here!

This minor update brings lots of enhancements for cmdline scripting and lots general improvements suggested in the forums.

New features:
* Lots of bugfixes and improvments that came up in the forums
* Various improvements for headless cmdline mode
* Scripting: pass variables via -Xname=value arguments
* Scripting: more -script input options besides File/URL:
=> stdin via -script "system:in"
=> pass inline via -script "script:expression"
=> easily call shared script via "fn:name"

µTorrent Integration:
There's a new example script for processing completed downloads using µTorrents "Run this program when torrent finishes" feature. The script will extract archives, handle movies/tvshows, fetch subtitles, copy-rename files, fetch artwork/nfo files and finally make xbmc rescan the video library.

Best of all, it'll take less then a minute to set all that up:

Have you looked into my collection of useful FileBot scripts yet? If you're using filebot from cmdline, on a headless machine or just for automated downloading & processing, light-weight artwork fetcher, etc these scripts might be of interest:

Script Index: You can use these out of the box, or modify them to your needs, or build something different entirely in which case I'd like to hear from you. ;)

I guess with Automator you wouldn't even need a context menu, just run this cmd whenever a file is added:

Code: Select all

filebot -get-subtitles path/to/movie

sure, I know this is possible. I am also not expert at all for Automator, but I think people might be interested in how to make a Context menu using automator and then subtitles will be automatically downloaded there (for pre-selected languages, best quality subtitles...)

I'm not on Mac so honestly I have no idea. I just provide a good and flexible cmdline so other people can just use that to easily integrate things into their system. Wouldn't mind a step-by-step tutorial neither that I can post in my forums. :P

Quick question: I am looking for some way to set my TV Series folder and subfolders as "watched folders" and have some program run and download the subtitles for all new media files every time a new file is detected. Can filebot do this? If not, can anyone think of a way to get this done?

filebot run from cmdline as well so you can easily automate things. You might also wanna use into FileBot/Groovy scripting, plenty of examples in the forums.

Hi,

I didn't run your program for a while, I am using MAC OSX. I went to
http://sourceforge.net/projects/filebot ... ebot/HEAD/ and downloaded filebot.jar, I think it is same as filebot-3.62-r1736-OSDBCOMPRESSION.jar

I run it, I dont like UI so much. There should be PREFERENCES big icon on the left , where user can set up everything. When downloading subtitles, there should be at least possibility to sort it by language, also, when using hashes, there is no language written, just subtitle names.

For uploading - I dont know how it works, I click SUBTITLES, then I got green and blue arrow, up and down, so I guess it is UP for downloading (some TEXT menu or icon with text would be better - and of course TABbed window...), so I click Green UP arrow, I open FILE MOVIE, nothing happens, or I open FILE MOVIE WITH SUBTITLE FILE, nothing happens. So it is quite hard to test.
