Opensubtitles.org vs Kodi vs ID & pwd

Tue Oct 16, 2018 9:19 pm

Hi

I had an account at OS for severall years, always with the same ID and password. Yesterday when I was trying to get subtitles at Kodi, I got an error with my ID or Password was not correct (this configuration was not changed since I've installed Kodi). I was check what happen and I realize my account was deleted...
I've tried to recover the password with my email, but I was not registered, so this was not possible...
So I create a new account with exactly with the same credentials (ID, pwd and email) and all the information was accepted as a new registration...

Very strange...

We had some major trouble with the site recently, see https://forum.opensubtitles.org/viewtop ... =1&t=16612.
A good chance this crossed/caused your issue.
Nowadays a VPN is a must for everyone. A VPN allows you safe surfing and protects you against spying governments and companies.
I advise AirVPN - from € 2,75 per month. Click the below banner for more info.

it should be fixed. The thing is, KODI addon is reporting wrong username and password also when it can not connect to API (our API got troubles in recent days, but it should be fixed now)

it does work. I just uninstall all KODI, make fresh installation, downloaded OpenSubtitles.org subtitle service addon, add username and password and downloading subtitles works.

If it doesnt work for you, send your KODI log, I believe we can find something useful there.
