BSPlayer is uploading bad subtitles / movie hashes

Wed Feb 03, 2016 1:40 pm

Someone asked about why hash lookup yields bad results, so I thought I'll report the problem here as well.
Most, if not all these bad hashes, seem to have been caused by BSPlayer. This player probably has some sort of broken automatically subtitle upload / movie hash upload feature.

Banning BSPlayer from uploading subtitles, or at least from addition additional movie hash links, might be worth considering, if this is a more widespread issue.
