The disappearing bit is probably a technical issue from transifex, it's new (didn't happen 2 months ago), so it'll probably solve itself at some point. You see it disappear, but it's still there (reload the page and you'll see the string there, as reviewed).
Ah, a web display issue, not a database contents issue. I did try reloading, but same-same. Never mind, I saw you reviewed, all good. I know for next time.
Original string doesn't matter, what matters is that the person using the translated application understands what they have in front of them.
Just like with subtitles ;-)

This really is a beautiful upload tool :)
Very easy and comfortable to use.
I will drop plugged-in Subtitle Edit as uploader...

But I managed to find a bug, or at least something which could be improved: adding a video hash.

I just tried to add a movie hash to an existing upload - that should be possible, right? Earlier I uploaded subs for The Little Death ( http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtitl ... e-death-nl ), using SE and the 720p video file The.Little.Death.2014.720p.BluRay.x264.YIFY.mp4. Now I tried to use OSU to add the has for the 1080p video file: loading the exact same subtitle, but this time the 1080p video file The.Little.Death.2014.1080p.BluRay.x264.YIFY.mp4. When uploading, I get the error message:
Subtitle was already present in the database
. The hash too...
. The file name too...

Okay, the subtitle is, but hash and file name not.

So, am I missing something, or is this a bug?
It would be very nice to be able to just add a hash.

That's not a bug on my end, it's the API responding HashWasAlreadyInDb=1 and MoviefilenameWasAlreadyInDb=1 so I guess either it was already there, either you should see with OSS^^

It means the hash has been added to the database. It should show up on the subtitle's record within 24 hours.

"HashWasAlreadyInDb=1" means "it has been added now"...
Hmm ;-)
Anyway, correct, that hash code I wanted to add is now visible.

Brings me to another point:
How about making it a bit easier to add a hash code to an existing subtitle?
Now I had to fill in a couple of fields to make sure it was pointing to my existing upload.
Maybe have the possibility to copy a URL into the subtitle file name field.
As nice side effect, this could also be used to upload an update version.

Can i add a movie hash in a subtitle uploaded by other users, or i can only add on the subtitles that i upload?

I noticed that the program detects the subtitles pt / br as if they where pt/pt.

Where I downloaded(2.0.0), in the description says:

[*] Allow sending subtitle without a video file present.

I tried without the video file, but always gave error.

Let's say I download a subtitle from OpenSubtitles, but the video hash isnt present yet:

- open OpenSub Uploader
- drop video & subtitle
- hit send.

It will tell you "subtitle not uploaded, but hash & filename was added".

---

And you say uploading subtitle only errors, but I just tried it, and it works perfectly fine.

I download this subtitle without video hash : http://www.opensubtitles.org/pt/subtitl ... ite-son-pt
Then :

- open OpenSub Uploader
- drop video & subtitle
- hit send.

And say : Subtitle was successfully uploaded!! http://www.opensubtitles.org/pt/subtitl ... ite-son-pt

Ok, I see. When you have an issue, look at the developper console (ctrl+d -> console tab) to have more information. It will be fixed on further releases. Thanks!

I noticed an issue with OpenSubtitles on the way, https://forum.opensubtitles.org/viewtop ... =8&t=15692

you always need to have original subtitle file to add hash to is. Using just URL would be very very easy for hackers to make something bad (database poisoning)
