Re: SubDownloader 2.0.13 NEW!! April 2012

Really he's just putting a price on the software for Windows users because he doesn't like people who use Windows. Kind of a douche move, but he's allowed to be a douche, it's his software. [...] I'm taking his advice of not using his program, which sounds to me to be underdeveloped anyways, and only making this post because I was really appalled when I found out what he chose to do and his reasons for doing so. I'm just glad I don't have to deal with him in real life, I'm certain we wouldn't get along.

Thanks for the post and the link ibigfire. I was considering making a Windows binary for this software thinking more users could benefit from it, but after reading that thread I've decided against it - I don't want to help popularize software written by such a douche. I'm totally okay with him wishing to charge for it, his decision, but he's just being utterly immature in that thread ("micro$oft" really? are we back in 1998 now?).

Also the fact that, however douchy he maybe, this is his work, and I feel like respecting his wishes, even if I'm legally allowed not to.

Wow, i didn't know there are "problem" within this program as viewed by user due licensing issue.

But thank you, after i read it i just realize there are free v2.0.18 installer + how to build it myself.
But is there other alternatives to replace this program ? (Batch download, easy upload)

I'm aware of those SM Player and UM player, but i didn't need them, i'm perfectly happy with MPC-HC.
So, anyone ?

Hi, I have a question. Currently I use bsplayer. Would Subdownloader find more subs than bsplayer, or it would give the same results since they use the same (very limited) mechanism?

Hello,

Please allow us to upload subtitles with SubDownloader after the trial period. You could just disable the subtitles download (and please avoid nagging the user).
Otherwise, I don't see the use to advertise SubDownloader on http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/upload

Also, possibly too late to be useful to anyone, but SolEol allows for multiple upload of subtitles.

Is this program still updating can´t get it to work with win 10, it finds the subtitles but hangs when you start to download, running the paid version!
