I cant test it right now (no movie in notebook), but it seems really cool! If I can suggest, use icon of opensubtitles, because your icon is quite crazy :)

you can get icon from http://static.opensubtitles.org/gfx/css/os_small.gif

it looks perfect. Do you think you can support RAR files in proper way ? Did you already play with that ?

Rar support is too complicatet to FF.
New version0.2.1:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6982
A add:
IMDB link (using opensubtitle hash)
napisy.info hash
napiprojekt.org hash.
Test it!

RAR support in a FF extension is hell, for something like this. It would imply actually decompressing everything (which would defeat the purpose, really)

of course, when I am talking about RAR compression I mean STORE METHOD of "compression", that means nothing is compressed, to file is added just RAR header at beginning and somethign at end, but I believe programming this to FF should be overkill. Maybe extracting filesize should be done...

anyway, thanks for great work.

sandboxed

Fri Jun 27, 2008 5:44 pm

The download page links to the addons.mozilla.org page for the extension, but mozilla.org requires registration before downloading the extension because it's in the "sandbox". So it would be better to link to the ovh.org page instead, if that's the permanent homepage.

I guess it's sandboxed because it accesses files on your harddisk? Or is it waiting to be reviewed by Mozilla staff?

Edit: I'm getting a PHP error on http://ds6.ovh.org/hashsubtitles/subtit ...
This account had started too much scripts. Script 'subtitle_matcher_firefox_extensions.php' will not be started...
