What is a protected email adress? And what good is any protection when even ppl not registered can see the uploaders' email address without having logged in?
How can I stop my email from being displayed, I'm spammed enough as it is already.

It's been visible when clicking on my profile link beside the subtitle uploaded by me. Since anyone could see it obviously anyone could use it for spam.
I've switched this off but I was astonished to see that this setting is a different one to that of this forum where I'd already set not to display my email.

do you think there are morons who rewrite those mails somewhere ? I dont think so. Ofcourse exists spam robots (harvesters), which scan webpage for mails, but you can be sure, it is not possible (not easy) to add mails like http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/profile/iduser-177199 to spam database.

mail bots muse have OCR to add that mail do db, also I doubt, if you use some obfsucation, OCR will help.
