Thu Jun 29, 2006 9:56 pm

Hello all,

we are proud to present search toolbars v0.1 for IE, Opera and FF. So here you can download 'em:

IE: http://www.opensubtitles.org/addons/plu ... bar_01.exe
FF: http://www.opensubtitles.org/addons/plugins/mozilla/
Opera: http://widgets.opera.com/widget/4478

Next, we like irc, so we made on IRCNET channel #subtitles - you are welcome! Also, there is subtitle robot v0.1, it supports searching and printing new subtitles to channel:

Code: Select all

# Usage example: # !sub 4 <movie-name> lang CD1 # example 1: !sub matrix # example 2: !sub 3 matrix # example 3: !sub 3 matrix sk # example 4: !sub 3 matrix sk,cs CD1
source code of robot is available (PHP, TCL...), you can download it at
http://www.opensubtitles.org/addons/plu ... b_v0.1.zip

Enjoy and report bugs if you found some...

re: FF search toolbar

Hi, is this the final version of the plugin? It still doesn't search in alternative names, even if exact name is written - "xxxx yyyy". I'd like to know, if it's because it's not possible to do it, as you noticed in the Slovak/Czech forum (too much work, slow searching...) or you're going to add this possibility in the future.

But personally, I'm satisfied with the toolbar now, so it's only my curiousness :D

Thanx

Search plugin for FF is final for now, I dont know if there will be next version, for now it is OK. What you are asking is done on server itself, but it seems, I cant change this behavior. My tests shows that search in AKA names is too slow (mysql CPU usage is 10x higher), even if they are equal. Maybe I overlooked something, but I doubt it.
We will see.

to Worst: please check if you received new message from me in upper right corner. If not, let me know.
