I'm sorry for not being clear. I always use only SolEol. I haven't used any other program in more than a year.

I have tried it again and now it seems to be working. I wasn't even getting a response before.

Re: [ADMIN] XML-RPC working or not?

Hi there,

please write if:
- website is working for you
- xml-rpc is working for you (subdownloader or any other program)

we are playing with filtering attack packets, but it seems our rule is too restrictive.
website yes, Oscar no.

The web site is working for me. Kantaris, however, cannot connect.

Everything seems to work for SolEol here.

I just downloaded Kantaris today, so perhaps I have it misconfigured. Though I could not find any Internet settings in its interface. It comes with no documentation, and its interface must have been designed by someone with perfect 20/20 vision. :( Oh well.

now I can reproduce problem, working on that. Thanks for feedback, I will write when it will be fixed.

Eduo: your xml-rpc debugger gives me timeout, and Soleol return message "No storage for SubtitlesLink with value..." - what does it mean ? I think SolEol is communicating with server, but xml-rpc gives me timeout...:(

Also according of uploads I see only SubDownloader is working (and SolEol)

OS: The "Storage" error was a side effect of changing the XML back when the SubtitlesLink was added. It should work now. I uploaded a new version yesterday that should work better.

The API started to work shortly after I posted this message. Then it stopped again. It was coming and going, so I didn't try re-sending this post until it was stable.

Upload should work, indeed.

[ADMIN] XML-RPC should working now

Mon Jul 13, 2009 10:07 am

ok, xml-rpc should work now, if you got some connection or other errors, please report here.

eduo: I always thought, when I _add_ some more data in XML-Response it will always work. Do you use some library for mapping xml-rpc response to data structure, or you use something own ?

I was using my own, since it was faster. But it does rely on exact definitions. Hence my insistence on method versions :)

Still, I've made modifications and in newer versions it shouldn't throw an error as long as it's new data in existing arrays. It's a lot more flexible now, but I'll need to be more attentive as it won't give an error as promptly.
