Hi, Since a week or 2 I cannot open opensubtitles.org as it keeps redirecting to https://in-page-push.com/400/3519719, a harmful site according to Norton. It is impossible to use the website anymore. Just wondering if others encounter this issue as well.

Cheers

Hi,

this is very strange. Can you describe the problem better ? On which URL you are going, the opensubtitles open and then when you do nothing it redirects, or it redirects right away ? I want to simulate the problem at my end and then fix it.

Thanks for info!

Thanks for replying so quickly!
I get the same notification if I use the URL opensubtitles.org directly or use Google or any other way of entering. I see just a flash of the site before it redirects. I have the issue using Chrome, with Firefox I can enter the site I just found out but I hesitate due to the malware message.

On which OS you are and browser you use?

ALL: anybody can simulate this behaviour ?

what I do:
1) I open chrome, without any plugins
2) I open www.opensubtitles.org
3) page is loaded, nothing is redirected.
(chrome on osx)

I try and page is loaded, nothing is redirected.
I also tried it on android with chrome, without problems.

Try to delete your browser cookies/cache.
You can also try put your browser into incognito/private mode.

I am from Brazil and I am experiencing the same behavior for the last month, I believe. Open an incognito window  at least allow me to browse the site, but I still receive a "block" notification from Norton.

If I try to open the site normally  , that is the message I receive and I cannot see the site:
Malicious Site Blocked! You attempted to access: https://in-page-push.com/400/3519719 This webpage is a known malicious webpage. It is highly recommended that you do NOT visit this page.

Visit Norton to learn more about phishing and internet security.

Hi,

Currently the main page of opensubtitles.org is loading a script from https://optyruntchan.com/400/3519719, if I'm not authenticated. This site seems to be malicious:
Optyruntchan.com is a site that tries to trick you into subscribing to its browser notifications so that it can send notification spam directly to your desktop or phone.
Is it normal? Could it be related to this hack ? Did the hackers also have access to the website?

It seems to be similar to viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17548 which appeared... in August 2021.
