Incorrect episode title naming because of show reordering

Sat May 15, 2021 7:53 pm

Hi, I could not find a way to report issues with opensubtitles showing the wrong episode names in a season. Adventure Time had changes with the order in their episodes from when the show aired, and so Season 8 is wrong (look under Season 8 here, episodes are repeated: https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/ssearc ... vie-132793)

Compare with the listing on tvdb: https://www.thetvdb.com/series/adventur ... official/8, or Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventure ... )#Episodes

I noticed that the missing episodes were uploaded to opensubtitles as Season 7 - so the actual S08E01, Broke His Crown, is actually uploaded as S7E27 (appears here https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search ... 6/season-7), and so on.

The IMDB ID for Broke His Crown is correct, and currently shows it as S08E01 on IMDB. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5575862/

What would be the best way of fixing the episode titles after the fact, and update the show to the correct ordering? Searches for Season 8 episodes currently always return the wrong subtitles, unless you have files that still show Season 7 as longer as 26 episodes.

Again, I'm asking here because I don't believe this can be easily fixed with the "correct subtitles" tool i have access to, currently.

Season 8 is correct now. You need to do an IMDB update on the incorrectly ID'd episodes to re-sync (both S7 & S8 "bad" episodes), then queue the series for update. This will sync them to the current IMDB order. Now, you can go ahead and rename episodes to their new Season/Episode position. Use "Correct Subtitles" with each entry for further agreement to IMDB, then submit for admin approval.
