Subtitles I uploaded are no longer owned by my account

Sun Mar 21, 2021 3:42 pm

Hello,

I just noticed that the subtitles I uploaded are no longer "owned" by my account. Is there any particular reason for this?

According to the profile page, I'm a bronze member now and have uploaded 14 subtitles only (insteado of hundreds)
Image

Clicking on the 14 subtitles link lists exactly 14 subtitles, yet my membership badge on that page is gold instead of bronze
Image

All other subtitles I've uploaded are not listed, nor counted against my membership badge though.

Searching for some of the unique subtitles I've uploaded is actually showing me as uploader
Image

Very confusing. Any idea what's causing this?

Hi,

It's a cache problem that happens every now and again. Usually resolves itself within 24hrs.
This bug is known about and as of yet has not been figured out or fixed.
Sometimes you'll even see that you don't have a "uploaded subtitles" option on the profile page.
Image below shows correct uploads and badge, right?

Image

So when you search for the subs, the subs are actually still owned by your account, right?
Or did you mean they are as "anonymous" or someone else's name?

Clicking on "uploaded subtitles" shows all of your 291 subs.

No, this is not normal, we don't punish VIPs for becoming VIP :)

Sometimes the counter of uploaded subs is missing and the list shows no uploads. This is a mysterious but known bug. However, as far as I know, this is only the outside appearance - the uploads are not actually gone, and you are still the member you were. So actually getting 'downgraded' to bronze member is new for me...

Anyway, I just had a look and it seems like everything is fine now:

2 star uploader, 231 uploads, VIP...

Yes, I know we both speak Dutch, but this is the English section of the forum and the question was a quite frequently asked question, so it all makes sense

It happens sometimes, but then it goes back to normal.
Sometimes uploaded subtitles are not even visible.
But dont worry that after updating the numbers of subtitles upload are the correct ones.

There are some troubles with this, we are aware of it.

Anyway, I have just checked and you are a two-star uploader with 431 uploads.

Maybe this time in your case,it was just a temporary thing.
