Downloading Subs NOT working in DK

dl.opensubtitles.org/en/download/sub/* can't be reached with DK IP. Switched to a US IP through VPN and it worked.
Can you check why is that?

change your DNS to something more liberal than is your DK ISP providing.

Use Cloudflare's DNS service to bypass the DNS hijacking by your ISP as oss said. That's the fastest and most secure and reliable DNS service available:

Definitely not. Cloudflare is controlled and monitored by the NSA.

Or use the DNS resolvers of Quad9. This includes blocking of unsafe sites, which may be an advantage or disadvantage.
Opensubtitles.org is NOT blocked.

But personally, I would recommend Freenom.
