Error subtitles.org and Kodi

Since a few days, cannot use opensubtitles on Kodi. It constantly gives back the error:

Error searching for subtitles
Your opensubtitles.org username or password is empty or not valid.

Password and username are not empty and are valid. Can login on the website (even though it seems slow), but in kodi, impossible.
Any issues or an update to the add-on?

Libreelec (official): 9.2.0

Hello.

You need to create an account on opensubtittles, and use the same username and password
To add it to the opensubtitle addon in kodi.

That worked for me on an Kodi 18.6 minix mediaplayer running linux mint.

My user works perfectly on the web so it should work the same on the Kodi.
I don't think there are users for the web browser and users for Kod

I checked, double checked and tripled checked my login information and all was correct.

What is wierd is that it used to work perfectly.

it should work. when server is loaded, and can not respond, you will get username/password error in kodi, in reality it is just connection problem to our servers, so that error is wrong actually.

Well it is still only intermittingly working. Are there issues with the server? 8 out 10 times it is not able to connect. And my password and username are correct.

Try it now, it may be working after some API connection changes.

Same issue. Checked credentials, they're correct, but Kodi stops to search via opensubtitles. Getting "Error searching for subtitles" error. Using add-on from https://blog.opensubtitles.org/programs ... ent-217779.

I am regular KODI user and yesterday (basically every day) I am trying it. Works for me. Either your IP is totally blocked, or there is just right now api down (check api.opensubtitles.org/xml-rpc if it is responding) or your username and password is not valid (for www.opensubtitles.org - nowhere else)

I have the same problem. Never had problems on my Kodi but now always error on username and password.

fill up your username and password in kodi subtitles addon. use SAME information as on www.OPENSUBTITLES.ORG

I am having issues with the opensubtitles addon in Kodi also. I am using the exact same login info I use at the .org website, down to the case. I still says I am using the wrong username and password. I have also tried the opensubtitles by opensubtitles addon from GitHub and get a different error both with and without login info.
