I liked the search query in opensubtitels.org esp. the way to ask for subtitles using imdb, although it may be useful to even include tmdb.org as well.

I don't see a way in the current way to search for movies using the imdb.com or tmdb.org unique IDs

For instance 8267604 in imdb and 517814 at tmdb https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/517814 ... uage=en-US

Would be nice to have such a way.

Update 11/03/19 - On the response I tried the solution and it doesn't work :(

There actually is already something for that for IMDB, Sorry the documentation is on its way, until then, you can find the titles like this:

https://www.opensubtitles.com/en/imdb/[IMDB ID]
example:
https://www.opensubtitles.com/en/imdb/tt1727824
or (the "tt" is optional)
https://www.opensubtitles.com/en/imdb/1727824

The same will soon be available for TMDB

I tried for e.g. https://www.opensubtitles.com/en/movies/imdb/tt5215088 but it doesn't work. It just gives a 404. It should do some validation checks. If the imdb entry is valid then it should ask for putting a request. It's funny. The subs. are there but cannot download via opensubtitles.org and on opensubtitles.com it doesn't come :( Even doing https://www.opensubtitles.com/en/movies/imdb/5215088 doesn't give me any results and results on a 404.

You added an extra "/movies" in the url, the correct URL is just:
https://www.opensubtitles.com/en/imdb/5215088

There is also now a new feature, in the search bar you can type:
imdb:tt5215088
to search by imdb id, this time the "tt" is mandatory

You can also put in the search bar:
tmdb:505914

to find by The movie DB id (still some issues with TV series, but works for movies)
