Problem with alignment in subtitles edit

Tue Nov 28, 2017 9:43 pm

I already have text for feature film with timecode not srt but someone converted it for me from FCP XML it's like this

You’ve been our neighbour for long?
00:19:02:23
00:19:06:07

I was Doctor Aida until someone saw me on stage
00:20:16:01
00:20:22:02

when I drag it in "subtitles edit 3.4.6" it's going to be crazy some lines disappear other become wrong timing and the dialog sentences became in the centre not arrange to left what should i do to fix this
thanks

"FCP XML" sounds like the Final Cut Pro format, but your two lines example is not at all how that should be. I don't know if that is some official format, and even less which format it is.

But you say somebody converted it from FCPXML(?) I think you should try to get the 'untouched' FCPXML file (untouched, without any conversion) and load that into Subtitle Edit. You can then save it as SRT file.
Nowadays a VPN is a must for everyone. A VPN allows you safe surfing and protects you against spying governments and companies.
I advise AirVPN - from € 2,75 per month. Click the below banner for more info.
