How to watch a movie with subtitles

Fri Nov 24, 2017 2:36 pm

Hi, I'm new here and don't know much about how things work but I would like to be able to attach subtitles to a movie. I have gotten as far as to download the subtitles but they are in a separate document, and I think I saw mentioned somewhere that they have to be somehow burned onto or attached to the actual film. How does that happen? I thank you in advance any advice.

You mean simply watching a movie with those subtitles?

The easiest way:
- Get yourself a player which supports subtitles, for example VLC Player.
- Create a folder on your computer and put both the video file and the subtitle file inside this folder.
- If they are not already, rename the subtitle file so it has the same name as he video file, for example
Video file: SomeNiceMovie2017.mp4
Subtitle file: SomeNiceMovie2017.srt

And then just play the video file.
Nowadays a VPN is a must for everyone. A VPN allows you safe surfing and protects you against spying governments and companies.
I advise AirVPN - from € 2,75 per month. Click the below banner for more info.
