why adds for paying members at the front door?

Mon Sep 11, 2017 1:26 am

I became a VIP member a few years ago, with the promise of no adds. When I want to log in a new page opens that I can't or hardly can get ride of, the page blocks my browser and wants to install shit. That is very annoying and certainly not the promise that there will be no adds for paying members! Specially if I pay to not be bothered with that kinda shit. If you want me to stay a paying member then do as promised and don't let the front door be a hurdle that you can't take!

It totally makes sense what you are saying. But there is a technical reason behind it. The system doesn't know you are a VIP member before logging in, only AFTER that. After logging in, the promise is kept.

Still I understand your annoyance, and this technical reason is not meant as a justification. What you could do, is check the checkbox "Remember me" and have your browser keep the cookie. That way, you remain logged in and stay free of ads. This is how I do it.
