Credit card to rate subtitles?

Wed Sep 28, 2016 2:36 am

[Edit by SmallBrother: Changed topic title to reflect contents]

Why do you ask for ratings on your subtitles and make a person provide a credit card? I don't put my credit card online. Is there some other way to give you 5 stars without a credit card?

Thanks for your effort to rate subtitles.
I don't know what happened, maybe separate things got mixed up.

Anyway, you don't need to provide credit card details to be able to rate subtitles.
You just need to be a registered user, then you can rate subtitles.

Please note you cannot use your forum's account on the subtitle site.
For the subtitle site you need to register separately.
Nowadays a VPN is a must for everyone. A VPN allows you safe surfing and protects you against spying governments and companies.
I advise AirVPN - from € 2,75 per month. Click the below banner for more info.

Hey I just experienced this too... I googled "open subtitles" clicked the top non-advertisement link and got taken to an authentic looking page. Clicked register, and it asked for username and password, clicked continue and got sent to the page down in the linked screenshot below.

Alarm bells went off immediately obviously, and I backed out.

The weird thing is that it won't come up again

More info. I was able to recreate on another device.

I googled open subtitles, and clicked the following link:

http://www.google.co.uk/url?q=https://w ... ndXQsIKVOQ

That popped up a message "In order to download the subtitles please sign up for free". Clicking OK on this one took me to a page "musics24.com" with an identical sign up page as before.

Something is seriously wrong here guys.
