File opens and extracts in Archive Manager, but erroneous dates on .ass files (12 October 2026) could be issue for some zippers.

7-Zip extracts it fine.
Converted one of the subs to srt format and there were loads of lines in there that had some sort of repeated none-sense. No wonder the sites anti-spam filter rejected it as an upload. I'd convert them to srt, remove those unnecessary repeated lines and try uploading them again.

That error refers to the anti-spam defense system.
Most common is a forbidden URL in the subs or a lot of exact repetitions. Sometimes just forbidden strings.

In this case the problem is the two times "'" in line #44.

In general, just make sure the subtitles are how they should be (according to general subtitling guidelines) and most probably you'll be fine. For example, "'" is an HTML-specific entity which does NOT belong in normal text. Use the apostroph ( ' ) instead.

Actually off-topic, but worth mentioning: I see some other things which shouldn't be... If you want to create subtitles, I would surely recommend you to read these two forum topics:

Game of Thrones S05E10
And got error:
402 Subtitles has invalid format, validation failed for CD 1, SPAM

Hi,

Someone messaged me to upload subtitles for "Packed to the Rafters" S06E08 as it's
missing from the list. I tried uploading them via OS-U and got the error;
"Subtitles was already present in the database"
"The hash too..."
"The File name too..."

But it's not on Opensubtitles.

With the error msg didn't you get a link to the subtitle?

I remember uploading two subtitles of S06E08 onto OS 2 weeks ago using tt2975826 imdb id.
Issue is I cannot find it in my upload list. It has... disappeared?

Maybe the subs has been deleted and then you cannot upload a duplicate. The way to find out:

When you upload with Uploader v2.6.0 and get that error "we already have this subtitle", there is a small icon right next to the text. When you click that, it should go to that existing subtitle.

If that doesn't work, you can try to upload manually (using the upload page of the website) and you will get a similar error message: "we already have this as blabla.srt" Then that "blabla.srt" is a link. When you click it, it goes to that subtitle.

That link will give a clue what's going on. If it doesn't, please post that link here.

Welp, this is strange indeed! I tried uploading them manually as you
mentioned. It just uploaded the subtitles, I did not get any errors at all.

Checked S06E08 page and now it's there. All good now.

Still, from curiosity I am wondering why the OS Uploader gave you that error and thus wondering where that link would lead you to. Would you mind trying and post the URL of that link? It needs the uploader v2.6.0.

in French section? I double checked my OS-U and my
English language is locked.

No, not uploaded to the French section. Uploaded to the ENGLISH section, but that link is in French language.
Further, it's talking about episode SEVEN (not eight).

Wrong episode hashes were submitted for episode 7 with episode 8 hash. Maybe that was the problem. Wrong hashes deleted.
OSU version when taking you to the subtitle displays the language of the page in French. Developer knows this issue.
