Hi!

I keep getting the "srt error message" when uploading a sub for "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" s04e11.

I've tried to upload different versions of it and I've also tried different softwares to save/convert it.

Is it my sub or me that's causing this or is it something else?

Update: Fixed! Removed a couple of recurring lines (e.g. "[applause]") and then it was accepted.

I get the following error when attempting to upload. I've tried Workshop and Subtitle Editor to fix errors/convert, all with the same result.

Unsupported subtitle format for CD 1. Only srt, sub, smi, txt and ssa formats are supported B

I did not see any links or anything obvious in the file. The file was downloaded directly from Vimeo.

I'm trying to upload subtitles for Project Runway...they're .srt, tried both ansi and utf-8 encoded, and I'm getting an error message saying "Unsupported subtitle format for CD 1. Only srt, sub, smi, txt and ssa formats are supported".
Any ideas?

but I couldn't realize what's wrong. Any idea?

I want upload a corrected and improved version of the subtitle with same filename uploaded by me at 5 days ago.

Steps to reproduce
- go to subtitle to be updated https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtit ... atapar2-pb
- click in 'Correct subtitles'
- in "Sub Filename CD1 (update) :", click in 'update'
- in "Select file for update CD1:", click in <choose file>
- select updated file "Mr.Robot.S03E04.720p.HDTV.x264-AVS-B.srt" from filesystem https://ufile.io/j587g
- in "Why you update subtitles for CD1:" type: "to correct little mistakes"
- click in <report> button

Actual result:

- show message:
Report
Unsupported subtitle format for CD 1. Only srt, sub, smi, txt and ssa formats are supported

Expected result:
- Upload successful

I cannot reproduce, because as admin I have too many rights (the subtitle will probably just be accepted) and as other user I don't have enough rights to update your upload.

But - this may sound weird - remove the two lines containing URLs, lines #43 and #762 and try again...

The file name is PijnstillersDVDRipx264(ita).srt so I don't understand the problem...any help?

Before this subtitle I uploaded 6 others subs without any problems on the site
I have uploaded PijnstillersDVDRipx264(ita).srt in format zip ...
and from this site you can download .

always upload subtitles not in ZIP, but unpacked, original format. Without checking your subtitle contents we can not know why it is not accepted. If posting errors, always post a link to subtitles where we can see the subtitles (download them)

The sub work perfectly when I use VLC Player for watching the movie. I don't understand because I keep getting the error when I try to upload this sub on opensubtitles.org.

Open the subtitle with subtitle workshop or another subtitle software (i use the sw) and fix the errors , file>load subtitle> tools>information and errors>

Backend fetch is failing again

Backend fetch issue all day. Cannot upload new .srt file. Annoying.

I think (hope) 'we' are aware of it and working on it.
