ok, Finally I think this is actually an error.

I uploaded some time ago a machine translated subtitle. I finished today my human translation and went to the subtitle and corrected it. Upload the srt again. Take out the machine translated mark. Fill in the comments... etc.

But when downloading them, it brings back the old version, although is displaying V3 in the screen.
It also downloads the old version in VLC.

This is just a matter of cache. It will take some time before the last update gets through.
Just be patient.

If I update a subtitle, I always add ".v2." at the end, to see what's going on.

Thank you for the clarification. It is fixed now. There is another one that I thik it has been more than 10 hours by now. But that is not that terrible cause it is just a reine translation. The one that I posted it was a real fix from machine translator to human. The machine one was really really bad.

I was deducting from your advice, that maybe besides the V2. When they are machine translated, (together with the icon of course) the file should say it also.

For english should be like:

and when transcription is refined:

Hey, It is allowed. When you correct the subtitle, you should rename the .srt file to "Example.hdtv.movie.2019.720.engV2.srt" or whatever the release name is. Amend your original comments accordingly, too.
When you upload for the first time, the release name box gets filled in automatically to whatever the subtitle name is. When you update a file to v2, the release name doesn't change unless you actively change it. But no need, as the release name (video file) is not updated.

No, as a separate upload. It's a subtitle for Hearing Impaired, the other is non-HI.

I think another example of a legitimate subtitle being rejected because of HI notations...

This happens every morning and also at some other times during the day. I think it's due to an automatic backup process and usually gets resolved within a few minutes, so no worries, you just have to wait.

Yes, hadilan, it's just the site backing things up. Happens every morning at 5:59 and then again at 6:59 GMT time. I guess that's the low-traffic time of the site. Normally lasts no longer than 10 minutes. 503 (and similar) errors are normally an overload on the DB, but again, shouldn't last more than 10 minutes. If longer times are experienced or becomes consistent, then it's actually a problem with the DB. This was a major problem few years ago. Not so much since we upgraded the servers.

For info:
Currently OpenSubtitles.org is running on 10 servers. During peak hours on the weekend, the site has more than 40,000 active users at any given time (most requests are from API, 1000+ searches per second, and that's not including manual user searches...), at least 5.000.000 subtitle downloads per day on average, hence, site becomes slow or gives errors.

yep i see that a lot, somthing goes wrong and only PART of the files uploaded are shown.
it says 8 files but only 2 is shown or 1 and sometimes there are NONE.
