Re: Upload errors here

Hello,

I got some problems uploading subs the last few days.
Normally i use Subtitle Edit with the plugin to upload to opensubtitles.org.
This gives me a 403 error now (movie hash related?).
Then i tried with the opensubtitles-uploader (https://github.com/vankasteelj/opensubtitles-uploader).
This gives me a "something went wrong" error (no more info can be found in developers tools).
I tried this for several subs, none with advertising, links etc in them, on several periods during the day to exclude site being too busy.
Nothing changed in my setup recently.
Checked my username and password.

Strange part is that i can upload the same subs manually to the site without problems.
I can even add the moviehash afterwards with the opensubtitles-uploader.
Is there something going on with uploading subs with moviehash, or something on my part i overlooked?

Could the specialists have a look at this?
Thanks ;)

I have tried some stuff. My quick conclusion is that there is just something wrong on the side of opensubtitles.
It is NOT related to users, IP adresses, software being used, etc.

Please be patient...
Meanwhile upload manually through the web site.
Hashes/movienames could be added after that, separately, with the Opensubtitles Uploader by vankasteelj.

I advise AirVPN - from € 2,75 per month. Click the below banner for more info.

Both tested and works like a charm.

With the uploader, now it works.
But with SE still a problem

Whenever I try to upload the subtitles for Friends I get this error: "We already have this subtitle file"
Please upload them because they are not the ones already available on the site and I know they would be helpful to many people learning german who want to watch while reading the subtitles like I did.

They really are not, mine are for BluRay which is the CUT version and on the site are for the DVD version which is UNCUT. Also many episodes don't have a subtitle at all on the site in german. I dont get it why they made the website like this. There should be as many versions for an episode as possible so people don't have to sync every time.

"We already have this subtitle file". This message only appears when the subtitle that you are trying to upload is the same as the one that already exist on the site, active or not.
So, the translation or sync of your subtitle should be the same * as the one on the site.

You can keep saying that and I could show you the two subtitles side by side and their sync times are different. But whatever...

In that case, subtitle might be disabled and it can't be uploaded again.
And please, next time read this topic before posting.

What about to sending your subtitles somewhere, so we can have a check. Also, when you are using web upload, you can see exactly which subtitles it is matching as duplicate.

Hello!
I have an issue with "Were.the.Millers.2013.EXTENDED.1080p.BluRay.x264-SPARKS" I have the correct subtitles for this release (swedish). However, when I upload them it says that they are already uploaded. I follow the link and then get to the message that the subtitle has been flagged and that I should not use it. So, the subtitles are not found on plex since they are flagged and I can't re-upload the correct one because it just redirects me to the page telling me it's already uploaded but flagged????

This is because you are trying to upload a subtitle that has already been upload, and for some reason was disabled.
So, your subtitle is the same, both in sync and in translation, can't be uploaded again.
