Mac TextEdit problem? Polish subtitles

Sat Oct 05, 2013 7:17 pm

Hi, great website i've used it a lot in the last few months.
One problem I keep having though is with Polish subtitles.
The letters ą ż ś ę ć ó ł all come up as random digits like # #$%^&&*( etc.
Any idea what this could be? When I download subtitles they automatically appear as txt files and I just change it to srt.
Thanks

You must use another charset.

Thanks for that, I just downloaded Subs factory and it looks good. I changed the encoding to windows-1250 and it looks perfect.
But then I save it and even though it saves properly, it still has the same problem when opening with VLC?
Its hardly been VLC all this time has it?
