Google translate to .srt

Sat Jun 01, 2013 3:03 pm

I have been wanting English subtitles to the German movie Max Schmeling.

I am happy to just google translate the Dutch subtitles which are available but Media Player Classic can't render the .srt file when I copy and paste from GT.

Usually it's only a small detail.

Compare the arrows in the time specification of the original .srt and the google translation.

I tried a similar thing
On the left is the original, on the right is in Polish after Google translate.
Any idea why I got this result???

You must save your file with another line break.

See here:
https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/End-of-line
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newline

When I save a document in the program I use (the Subtitle Editor ) I have the choice to save it with the line break I want: Macintosh, Unix, Windows

Upload the file on an OCH like Zippyshare or another.
I'll take a look in it.

Sorry I only just realised I had a reply. Is there a simple program that you use to edit subtitles because I have lots of these that I need to translate to Polish. I'd say I could figure it out if I just had a better program than textedit hahah. Thanks

See viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2881#p9206
I use Subtitle Workshop, but might change to Subtitle Edit for some technical advantages that I really miss in Subtitle Workshop.

I advise AirVPN - from € 2,75 per month. Click the below banner for more info.

Figured out the problem, it was the VLC settings all this time!! I downloaded Subs factory and changed it to windows-1250 and it still didnt work until I unticked a box in the VLC settings. Sorted now, thanks for the help.
